At the movies

Dan Perri is behind hundreds of movie titles and fonts, a craft that no longer holds any secret to him.

In this short video, he takes us on a tour around his workshop and the stories behind a few of his proudest achievements. Of course there is a Saul Bass reference in there (the man behind a lot of Alfred Hitchcock’s pictural aesthetics and many others’), alongside some studies he’s done for the Star Wars movie and besides that, he gives us a break down of how important the complementarity is of a movie’s story and pace with its fonts and titles.

Very inspired and just as inspiring.
