3500 paper cuts

Phil Evans is a filmmaking craftsman whose moon revolves around the planet of skateboarding. He’s been experimenting with odd formats to make skate videos for years now.

After experimenting with film, still photographs and animations, he just tried a new concept out for his new piece: Paper Cut London, consisting in a visual collage of 3500 images hand-drawn from video sequences, then scanned and animated, resulting in a paper-based skate video part filmed in London and featuring Jak Pietryga (and some Chris Jones). A mammoth of a work!
